How it works

Save it once. Hear it wherever you listen.

No new app to learn and no player to keep open. Your reading list becomes a private podcast.

Paste a link or the text

Articles, newsletters, essays and reports you have the right to use. Readcast lifts the article out of the page, leaves the clutter behind and reads all of it.

In your own accent

Voices from the US, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India and South Africa, picked for where you are. Change them whenever you like.

Word for word, in your podcast app

The author’s words, not a summary, with a short description of each chart or photo. Episodes arrive in the app you already use, so you get offline listening, your own speed and the car. Your feed is private.

Questions

A few ahead of time.

Do I need ChatGPT or Claude?

No. Paste a link or some text on Readcast and you get the same episode in the same feed. The assistants just save you the copying, and can send you a brief on a schedule.

Does it rewrite what I send?

Narration reads your text word for word. It only tidies what a listener can’t hear, such as links, symbols and citation marks. When you send a link, it also describes the page’s charts and photos, and says so (“A photo here shows…”). Two-host episodes are a conversation about the text, and they are only made when you ask for one.

Does it work with Spotify?

Spotify can’t add private feeds. Use Apple Podcasts, which comes with every iPhone, Pocket Casts, Overcast or any app that adds a show by URL. You can also listen in your Readcast library.

What types of content work best?

Any well-structured text you have the right to turn into audio: your own drafts and notes, research, reports, scripts, and articles you can lawfully read. Reader-mode extraction helps clean up pages when a URL is available.

How long does it take to generate a podcast?

Most solo episodes are ready in 2–5 minutes. Multi-speaker episodes take a little longer because we outline, script, and perform them end-to-end.

Can I use this for commercial purposes?

Yes, for outputs generated from content you own, license, or are otherwise legally permitted to use commercially.

What happens when I hit the free limit?

Your existing episodes remain accessible. To create more, upgrade to Pro. No surprise charges — you're only billed after you choose to.
