Terms of Service
These terms govern use of Readcast. They are product terms, not legal advice. If you use Readcast for business, publishing, education, or regulated activity, you are responsible for confirming that your use is lawful.
Your Content And Rights
You may submit text, URLs, feeds, briefs, scripts, and other source material only when you own it, have permission to use it, it is in the public domain, or your use is otherwise lawful. You retain your rights in content you submit, and you grant Readcast the limited rights needed to host, process, transform, store, and deliver that content as private generated audio for your account.
- You are responsible for the source material you submit and for how you use generated outputs.
- You must not use Readcast to infringe copyright, breach publisher terms, evade paywalls, defeat technical access controls, or redistribute content unlawfully.
- Commercial use is allowed only for outputs generated from content you own, license, or are otherwise legally permitted to use commercially.
Private Podcast Feeds
Readcast podcast feeds and audio links are private bearer links. Anyone with the exact URL may be able to access the feed or audio until the relevant token is rotated or revoked. Keep these links private and do not publish them unless you have rights to publish the underlying content.
AI-Generated Audio
Readcast uses AI systems and text-to-speech services to summarize, adapt, narrate, and perform source material. Generated audio may contain errors and should be reviewed before public, professional, or commercial use. You must not represent generated audio as authorized by an original publisher, author, person, or brand unless that is true.
Voice, Likeness, And Impersonation
You may not use Readcast to impersonate a person, create deceptive audio, or use a person's voice, name, image, or likeness without permission where permission is required. You are responsible for obtaining consent for any voice, likeness, or personal-data use in your source material or outputs.
Prohibited Use
- Infringing, illegal, harmful, deceptive, defamatory, harassing, or privacy-invasive content.
- Attempts to bypass access controls, usage limits, authentication, or security features.
- Bulk scraping, automated copying, or redistribution of third-party works without lawful rights.
- Use that violates applicable law, platform rules, or third-party rights.
Copyright And Takedowns
We may disable episodes, revoke tokens, suspend accounts, or terminate repeat infringers. Copyright notices and counter-notices are handled under our Copyright Policy. EU/UK illegal-content notices may be submitted through the notice form.
Subscriptions, Cancellations, And Refunds
Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel through the billing portal. Access continues until the end of the paid period unless required otherwise by law or stated during checkout. Refund requests should be sent to support@readcast.com; advertised refund windows apply only where you complied with these terms.
Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for legal risk, repeat infringement, abuse, security threats, or material breach of these terms. You may delete your account from account settings.
