Copyright Policy
Readcast is designed for private, user-directed podcast generation from material the user is allowed to process. We disable access to content when we receive a valid notice or otherwise identify legal risk.
DMCA Agent
Until a formal designated agent listing is completed with the U.S. Copyright Office, copyright notices should be sent to:
- Email: copyright@readcast.com
- Subject: DMCA Notice - Readcast
Before relying on U.S. DMCA safe-harbor protections, Readcast should complete and maintain the official Copyright Office designated-agent registration.
Submitting A Takedown Notice
Please include:
- Your name, organization if applicable, email address, and physical or mailing address.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The Readcast URL, feed URL, audio URL, or other information sufficient to locate the material.
- A good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the owner, agent, or law.
- A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Counter-Notices
If your content was disabled and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to copyright@readcast.com. Include your contact details, the disabled material, a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was disabled by mistake or misidentification, consent to the appropriate court jurisdiction, and your signature.
Repeat Infringers
Readcast may suspend or terminate users who repeatedly submit infringing content or repeatedly receive valid takedown notices. We may also revoke private feed/audio tokens, disable episodes, and preserve relevant records where needed for legal compliance.
EU/UK Illegal Content Notices
Reports that are not copyright-specific may be submitted through the illegal-content notice form. We review notices, restrict access where appropriate, and preserve evidence needed to handle disputes.
