Submitting A Takedown Notice

Use the notice form and choose "Copyright infringement", or email us. A notice must include:

• Your name (and organization, if any) and an email address where we can reach you. You may also give a postal address or telephone number.
• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• The Readcast URL, feed URL, audio URL, or other information sufficient to locate the material.
• A good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We confirm each notice by email with a reference number, review it, and email you our decision.

Counter-Notices

If your content was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to copyright@readcast.io. Include your name, address, and telephone number; the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district where Readcast may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice; and your signature.

We forward a valid counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we restore the material within 10 to 14 business days of receiving the counter-notice.

Repeat Infringers

Each valid notice we act on counts against the account that submitted the content. An account with 3 actioned notices within 365 days is closed. We may also revoke private feed and audio tokens, disable episodes, and keep the records needed for legal compliance.

Publishers: Opting Out Of Link Imports

Publishers can ask us not to import their pages at all, with the opt-out form or by emailing copyright@readcast.io with your domain. We will block it, and its subdomains, for link imports and Chrome extension page clips. See how Readcast's page fetcher works.

EU/UK Illegal Content Notices

Reports that are not copyright-specific may be submitted through the same notice form. A person reviews each notice; we restrict access where appropriate, tell the affected user why, and keep the records needed to handle disputes.
